An engineering study of the water distribution system for Village of Elsie was performed by Spicer Group
to satisfy the EGLE requirements mandated under the Administrative Rules to the Michigan Safe
Drinking Water Act for the Part 12 “Reliability Study” and Part 16 “General Plan”. In this study, current
demands were evaluated and projected on a five year and twenty-year basis to determine if the water
supply facilities will adequately meet future water demands. For the year 2023, the Village had an
average daily water usage of 64,658 gallons per day with 434 water customers. Based on average annual
water use over the past 10 years, it is projected that in the year 2028 the Village will use an average of
99,244 gallons per day and in the year 2043 the Village is projected to use an average of 115,219 gallons
per day
