NEW to the Elsie Park!
Welcome to the “Clay Wenzlick Memorial Community Bon Fire Pit,” The new addition is located in the center of the park. The Village will be holding its grand opening & first fire on August 12th, 2023. Unfornatualy Clay was involved in a motor vehicle accident and tragically lost his life. Clay was a local resident and OE student. Clay’s love for the outdoors, the American flag, and being from Elsie was evident. Clay’s Parents Jason and Star Wenzlick along with several family and friends collected donations and spend their own time and money on this project. This will be a place where Clay would have for sure spent a lot of time.
After that date, the bonfire pit will be able to be used. You do not need to “rent” the pit, as its an “everyone is welcome to pull up a chair” There is a wood shed near the pit, and the wood inside can be used. Please only use what you need. Donations to the camp fire wood shed are greatly accepted. Soon the area will have lighting, water service, and benches. For now, bring a chair and enjoy!
